Owl Themed Baby Shower Favor

Inspiration for this design was from a piece of stationary. To prevent bleeding into the white, I let the base coat dry for 2 days. I outlined the owl and branch with icing that was a little thicker than the fill, which also helped prevent bleeding.  The Onesie Cutter is from CopperGifts.com and the packaging from Nashville Wraps.

  2. Wow, these are amazing Susan! Absolutely beautiful and such intricate detail. Thanks for the information on how you got the colors to not bleed. Working with white is always so difficult with other colors. These are beautiful! Great job! Cristin (Pinkie)

  3. I L.O.V.E. these. The owls done on the little onesies is a fantastic idea. I've seen owl cookies and onesies cookies but never done together like this.

  6. My goodness theses are SO cute! You are so talented!! How do you get dark brown and black royal icing? Any time I do a big amount it takes the entire bottle! I'm sure I must be doing something wrong.. is there a trick?

  7. TC&L...If possible I will use leftover colors to use for brown and black. The brown I used leftover yellow and green then added a few drops of chocolate brown. And for the black you can use any combo and just add a little black. I will also freeze leftover black and brown to save for another time. Hope this helps!

  8. These were copied from the shower invite Sam. They have become a very popular request now! I wonder why owls are so popular in the cookie world?
